When you are going to the hospital to delivery your baby, it is important that you bring some things with you from home to make your stay more enjoyable and more comfortable for you. These simple items will help you feel more like yourself at the hospital, and are very easy to bring. This article will discuss 3 things to bring with you to make your hospital stay when giving birth as comfortable as possible.

Bring Things To Entertain You

You will likely have a lot of time to wait before you have your baby, as well as a lot of time to wait after you have your baby. Because of this, you are going to want to have several different thing to entertain you. You can bring an electronic device to play games and watch movies on, and you can also use the hospitals wifi internet to surf the web. You can also bring books to read, card games, crossword puzzles, etc. This will likely help time to go by much faster, and it may help to distract you from the pains of labor, at least a little bit.

Bring Your Own Clothes

While you will obviously be wearing a hospital gown for some of your stay at the hospital, it is a good idea to bring some clothes of your own to change into. Having your own clothes will help you to feel more human, and less like a patient. You will also likely be much more comfortable in your own clothes, than in an ill-fitting hospital gown. Just remember that if you are going to be nursing your baby, that it is smart to wear clothes that make it easy for your baby to latch on and nurse often.

Bring Your Favorite Snacks

A lot of the time you aren't going to be able to eat before you have your baby, whether you are having a c-section or a vaginal delivery. Because of this, you will likely be starving by the time that you are all done. While the hospital will offer you a meal after things have settled down, you may still want some of your favorite snacks.

These can include anything that doesn't need to be refrigerated right away, such as crackers, cookies, chips, fruit, drinks, fruit snacks, candy, etc. Having a yummy treat to chow down on after feeling like you have been starving for several hours will definitely help to make you feel more content.
